Manhattan, Kansas: The City of Manhattan, Kansas, has chosen SpryPoint, a leading provider of integrated, cloud-native utility solutions, as its partner to modernize its customer information, billing, and operations systems. This strategic investment will transform how the City of Manhattan manages and delivers water, wastewater, and stormwater services and operations, driving a seamless customer experience while equipping City staff with modern tools for efficiency, insight, and growth.
The initiative is the cornerstone of Manhattan’s multi-year modernization strategy, which includes upgrades to financial, licensing, permitting, and enterprise systems. By implementing SpryPoint’s integrated platform, the City will replace aging technology with a unified solution that connects customer information, billing, and customer engagement into a single, trusted system of record.
With SpryPoint, Manhattan utility customers will gain:
- Real-time account access and expanded self-service options
- Proactive communications and utility alerts
- Transparent, easy-to-understand billing
- Greater convenience and control in managing services
The City’s staff will benefit from streamlined workflows, automated reporting, and improved operational visibility across meter-to-cash processes and customer experience.
“The vision within our strategic plan is focused on creating a ‘hub of opportunity’ for all citizens, but the lack of modern systems and services was holding us back,” said Jared Wasinger, Assistant City Manager of Manhattan, KS. “SpryPoint is the perfect fit to deliver on our goal of modernizing operations and technology to be a well-run city, meeting today’s requirements while providing a solution that will grow with us.”
As part of the initiative, Manhattan will deploy SpryCIS as its core customer platform, SpryEngage for a unified customer portal, SpryIDM for advanced customer insights, and SpryMobile Field Service to empower crews with real-time information in the field. Together, these applications will form the foundation of Manhattan’s customer and billing operations, tightly integrated with financial and meter-to-cash systems.
“It’s impressive to see how the leadership and team at the City of Manhattan have embraced innovation, transformation, and change as part of their strategic plan,” said Kevin Clancey, SpryPoint’s Chief Business Development Officer and co-founder. “We’re ready to contribute to the City’s important modernization initiative.”
Implementation will begin this month, positioning the City of Manhattan to deliver more reliable service, enhance community trust, and prepare for long-term growth.
